Interior Minister Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani Addresses a Large Gathering at Sheikh Zayed University

The respected Minister of Interior, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, delivered a speech to the leadership, professors, staff, and students of Sheikh Zayed University during a large gathering.
The gathering was held for this purpose in the main mosque (Masjid) of Sheikh Zayed University and was attended by Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, Minister of Interior of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan; Deputy Minister of Interior Mawlawi Mohammad Nabi Omari; Governor of Khost Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Haqqani; Chancellor of Sheikh Zayed University Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlawi Mohammad Nasim Haqqani; vice chancellor of the university; professors; staff members; and students.
At the beginning of the gathering, the chancellor of the university, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlawi Mohammad Nasim Haqqani, welcomed the guests and provided a brief overview of the university.
The speech and message of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate, may Allah preserve him, to the respected professors, students, and all participants were delivered by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs of Sheikh Zayed University, Mufti Mohammad Omar Fazli.
Afterward, Minister of Interior Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani delivered his speech. He stated: “Our country has been caught up in various trials and challenges for half a century. Praise be to Allah, today we have all been brought together under one Islamic unity and beneath a single flag. We will always strive to preserve and strengthen this Islamic and national unity.” He said that students are the country’s greatest asset, adding that systems and nations achieve self-sufficiency through their students. He further emphasized that the country is counting on students to contribute to its self-reliance, urging them to demonstrate determination, never consider themselves outsiders, and use their knowledge in ways that benefit the country and help free it from dependence on others. He called on students to strictly refrain from political groups, factions, and divisions within their educational institutions. He warned that other malicious circles are attempting to manipulate and control students’ thoughts. He urged them to remain focused on advancing their education and added that they should never consider themselves strangers, assuring them that the leaders of the Islamic Emirate would address their problems. 
In his speech, Governor of Khost Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Haqqani expressed his special gratitude to the Minister of Interior for visiting Khost Province. He emphasized that, alongside religious sciences, modern sciences are also highly important, because through them Afghanistan can become self-sufficient and compete with the rest of the world.
He told the students that Afghanistan will be rebuilt through their efforts and urged them to safeguard the unity and independence of the Islamic system. He also assured them that the leadership of the Islamic Emirate stands with them and will support them in every area.
The gathering concluded with a prayer led by Sheikh al-Hadith Anwar Hussain Hussaini, Chairman of the Religious Scholars of Khost Provincial Council.
